Concessionaria Ecovias Caminho do Mar S.A.

The Ecovias Caminho do Mar motorway connects Curitiba (the State capital) with Paranaguà, the second most important port on Brazil’s south Atlantic coast after Santos (São Paulo). The initial works to double the road and install automated systems were completed in 2001, while other improvement works (construction of the third lane, bridges, overpasses, new intersections, etc.) are in progress or planned, depending on the increase in traffic volumes. The concession holder has “ISO 9002” and “ISO 14001” certification. The motorway has a single fixed-charge toll station. The toll traffic is about 26,000 equivalent vehicles per day.
